May you be as happy in your marriage as I have been in mine.

Just remember to keep your head about you if you ever have a disagreement with your wife, and do not let pride goeth before the fall. Admit it when you are wrong, give comfort when she is sad, count your own failings as a husband before you examine her failings as a wife, and remember that there is nothing so embarrassing that you will want to keep it secret from your wife. Be as an open book to one another, and do not fear judgement from your better half, for the two of you will become as one. Good luck, Rick.

Now that it seems just around the corner, I must say as a mother, it really touches my heart to see how happy she it. I feel really good about this union & pray everyday that your walk together & with God is deeply enriched.

My wife and I met in high school, carried on a long distance relationship for 5 years and lived in the same town for the first time the week after we got married. 3 years later, it's wonderful, but amazingly hard. Nothing you can do will prepare you for the hard times--so, at the risk of sounding cliché, put God in the center of your marriage, be real and honest with each other, and prepare for being chizzled.
